What’s up guys! I come to you with a very ridiculous post. I was recently in Australia and had the best/worst Airbnb experience ever. I arrived to my beautiful parked trailer that I was so excited to take photos of, and let me tell you – it was absolutely stunning. The sunset was epic, the trailer was cute, everthing was so good for some epic photos! I had fun taking photos for a couple hours, and then the darkness came. Since it was a trailer, there was no ventilation so I HAD to keep the windows open or else there would be no airflow. Since the transition from sunset to darkness came so quickly, I forgot to set up my bed and get myself ready. As I layed in the bed and checked my instagram, I felt something crawling on me. You know when your hairs move and you think something is on you – it felt like that. But something was actually on me. There were 3 cockroaches chillin beside me checking instagram as well apparently. I quickly got up, extremely startled because I do not like bugs at all. I went into the kitchen, and saw a MASSIVE spider the size of my hand on the window (photo below), and when I looked up there were 1000’s of bugs flying around the light. It was horrendous. There was bug spray, so I tried to kill the bugs on the light, and close the windows. But then I couldn’t breathe because the chemicals in the bug spray. It was actually horrible and I got more and more stressed out very quickly. SCREW THIS – I brought all my stuff to the car and had the worst car sleep ever. But it was definitely more enjoyable then being crawled all over.
In saying this, their airbnb was so adorable, but I just cannot handle bugs. Or maybe I should have been smarter and closed the windows? Either way, lessons learned – Australia is full is crazy creatures. I hope you enjoyed my ridiculous story, now check out the beautiful photos I got below!
