5 Temples in Ayutthaya

Wat Mahathat

Welcome to the gorgeous temple known for it’s “Buddha head in a tree”. I had the pleasure of being the first one in the temple right after sunrise. It was so tranquil and peaceful. I’d seen photos over and over of this place, but seeing it in real life was amazing. There was also a really cute dog guarding his Buddha.

Train from Ayutthaya to Chiang Mai

A note for the train: Bring your own food/water.

They barely give any water, and the food is horrible! It’s a long train ride, you’ll need it!

I barely spent a day in Ayutthaya. At this point in my trip, I was over the humidity and I just wanted to go up North to see if it was less humid. Onto Chiang Mai I went…
