Oh hey! Another exciting post for you guys to feast your eyes on! The Badlands National Park in South Dakota! I decided to do a road trip from Toronto to Vancouver and drive through USA because I’ve never done it before! I kept rerouting my trip as I found cool places to go, and the Badlands National Park was one of those cool things. A good hour out of my way, but I headed over to South Dakota to see some epic landscapes. I’m not even sure how to describe the rock formations, but they literally look just like Clay Cliffs in New Zealand. There about 7 km of epicness to drive through and it was mezmerizing!
I went during the extremely quiet season and no one was around. So I’m sure if you head over there during the busy season you’ll have to pay an entrance fee and perhaps have a lot of people in your photos. It was extremely cold, as the landscape is flat, the winds were insane! But honestly, it was so gorgeous and I extremely recommend that you head over there 🙂
I also wanted to mention my ridiculous van! I got this van as a relocation and when I got it I was like “really?, I have to drive around in this for 9 days?”. Just a couple words of wisdom, if you’re going to get a Wicked Campervan, don’t drive it across the border. I will almost GUARANTEE that you’ll get the entire thing checked both times. Yes, I know the van looks a little bit ridiculous, but they should be more chill about it when they realize it’s a rental and that I’m not horrible at spray painting. So yes, that was my ridiculous van for 9 days. It was a good van, and drove through the Badlands National Park really well! Onto my next post when I tell you more about my Toronto to Vancouver road trip adventures!
