"There will never be a perfect time to chase a dream. Life moves quick and obstacles are abundant - so throw caution to the wind and live the life your meant to live"
It all started with the death of my van’s engine. It was a horrible March 9th morning, my birthday in fact, and my van engine blew up. Probably the worst birthday of my entire life, but nonetheless trying to stay positive about the entire thing. (finding a new engine to fix it currently). A couple friends and I had planned to do a road trip to Franz Josef Glacier, and we decided regardless if my van was dead or not, we would still find a way to go – Car rides and hostels it was. It always makes me upset to road trip without my van because I miss out on the cute van photos in different settings.
Our first day turned out to be a dark foggy day with a touch of rain. Although most would stay inside and relax, we decided to get wet in the rain and take some moody photos. It turned out to be one of the most epic photo missions yet! I have so many good photos to share with you 🙂 We found waterfalls, rainforest, mountains, glaciers and moody clouds, what more could you want for some epic photos?
What do you do when you’ve got to pee really bad but there isn’t a toilet around? Find a bush of course! We had to do this a couple times in fact, all the waterfall sounds and water we drank had crept up to our bladders. Peeing in the bush is nothing out of the ordinary really, taking a poo In the bush is next level. I’ll admit I’ve had to do this a few times and it’s not as bad as you may think, freeing in fact! haha.
Speaking for the name of this blog post, Jordan had given us some awesome backflips to shoot! How cool is the background with an epic flip!? I think Franz Josef is the perfect backdrop for any photos, when it’s moody of course. Have you been to Franz? Let me know in the comments below and link your photos! I love seeing what you guys are up to!
Going on road trips is pretty much the only way to live your life I think! If you ever have that feeling where you just want to get out there and explore, drive somewhere, stay in a hostel and explore this beautiful planet! 🌏 I can’t explain how happy it makes me to hang out with my friends and take photos of epic places! I hope you enjoyed my Franz Josef adventure in New Zealand, stay tuned for what I’ve got planned next!
