I found a beautiful pink beach! It’s Las Coloradas in the Rio Lagartos National Park, in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. It is absolutely the most beautiful lake ever! I’ve never seen anything like it! If you’ve seen pink lakes all over Pinterest and never really knew where they were, well here’s one!

Getting to Las Coloradas was a little bit confusing at first, only because there wasn’t an obvious entrance. There were Mexicans around trying to be my tour guide to make some money, but I just wanted to check it out by myself. I asked him to show me how to get close up and gave him 20 pesos for his help. You are actually not allowed to step foot inside the water. Just observe with your eyeballs and your camera lens!

There’s literally not much to do in Las Coloradas, other than buying some cold water, looking at the pink water and searching for flamingoes. I found a couple cuties, I named them bob and fred. They were pretty much the only “people” I spoke to that whole day, hah.

Anyways, checking out Las Coloradas is a definite MUST when in the Yucatan Peninsula! The photos are so stunning and I really enjoyed being there and feeling those pink vibes. Or if you’d like to check out some Chichen Itza vibes, those are also pretty epic! Stay tuned for a Mexico 2 week travel guide!

Have you been to Las Coloradas? If so, I wanna see your epic pink photos!
