I LOVE Queenstown NZ. I’m sure you can realize this from the title of this blog post! I’ve lived in Queentown for about 2 years and I’ve fallen even more in love with it since the first day. I’m going to share with you why on earth I love it so much!
Small town vibes
I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love small town vibes. When I can walk from one end of the town to the other in under an hour, it makes me really happy. It means that I can walk through town and know at least 3 people along the way. The longer you stay, the more people you’ll end up running into! Some people actually hate this about the town, but I absolutely love it.
Open minded travelers
The worst thing about towns that are “normal” (not traveler towns) is that people seem very closed. If you chat with someone in the supermarket they’ll almost be startled. Queenstown NZ, on the other hand, is extremely open. It’s so easy to make friends and connections that will last a lifetime.
That background on your computer can be the background of your life in Queenstown NZ. The mountains are so stunning, the lake is beautiful and you’ll feel like your in a dream the entire time you’re here. It’s actually the prettiest place in the world.
You'll never be bored
There are endless things to do in Queenstown NZ. Adventure, thrill, or calm and serene, you name it! Keen for a skydive? Well, you’re going to have the best views ever. Keen for a yoga retreat looking over the mountains, yep Queenstown has it. You can even go in an underwater shark boat! One of my favorite things is that you can snowboard in the winter and mountain bike in the summer, it’s perfect!
The nightlife is epic! There are always loads of people out and about having a blast. Picky on your type of bar/club? There are so many to choose from. A couple of my faves are Harry’s Pool Bar, The World Bar, Yonder and Barmuda. Be sure to check them out when you visit!
I’m obsessed with cafes. If anyone asks me to go for breakfast/lunch/coffee, my answer is always yes! Queenstown NZ has a great coffee/cafe vibes. There are so many to choose from and they are delicious! A couple of my faves are Yonder, Vudu, Bespoke, Boatshed, and Odelay!
More fun around Queenstown?
